Urban Forestry

Urban forestry is a practice of managing and protecting publicly and privately owned trees present in the environment such as street and utility rights-of-way, city greenbelts, forested watersheds of municipal reservoirs, and residential and commercial areas. It involves planning and management of the urban forests including programming care and maintenance operations.

Owing to the rising urbanization worldwide, urban forestry has gained significant traction. Urban forests are dynamic ecosystems that help to control stormwater, conserve energy, provide filtered air and water, and provide animal shelter. In addition, they enhance the beauty of the urban areas and it has become a crucial part of urban infrastructure
