Biography

Chukwudi Ernest Ogbete is a Food Scientist and PhD scholar in Food Processing and Postharvest Technology at the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), and Michael Okpara University of Agriclture Umudike, Nigeria. His research focuses on the postharvest processing, value addition, and nutritional enhancement of root and tuber crops, with a special interest in cassava and sweet potato. He has collaborated with international partners, including CIRAD-France and CGIAR projects such as RTBfoods and NEXTGEN Cassava Breeding. Ernest has authored and co-authored scientific papers and proposals on indigenous food innovations, probiotics, and digital agriculture. His goal is to advance sustainable food systems through science-driven innovation.
