Biography

Laura Martins de Carvalho is a social scientist (PUC-SP, 2007) and currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Studies on Knowledge- and Innovation-Based Urban Development (CEUCI) at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Her research focuses on urban collectives, social participation in innovation districts, and knowledge territories in the Brazilian context, with support from the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), grant no. 2023/04126-0. Her areas of expertise include women in urban agroecology, urban agriculture, and popular entrepreneurship in vulnerable contexts. She is the co-author of Agriculture in the City: The Cultivation of Food and the Common by Women (Ícone, 2022), written with Márcia Tait.
